Job summary

BRB Recruit is assisting a Manchester-based children's residential provider to recruit an experienced Team Leader. This full-time role will support a Registered Manager, lead a team of residential support workers and help ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people.

You will supervise staff, manage shifts, oversee care plans, and collaborate with families and professionals. The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families (or equivalent), has

• NVQ Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families or equivalent
• Experience in children's residential setting
• Experience leading staff
• Full UK driving licence
• Able to work varied rota including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins
• Commitment to improving lives of children and young people

Responsibilities

• As Team Leader, you will work with Registered Manager to run the home safely and effectively
• Provide guidance, supervision and day-to-day support to staff
• Maintain a safe, stable and nurturing environment
• Support children and young people with individual needs
• Take responsibility for shifts and ensure care plans and routines are followed
• Collaborate with professionals, families and care team
• Assist with records and safeguarding procedures
• Lead by example and develop less experienced staff
