Job summary

Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking three dynamic Children's Community Occupational Therapists to deliver OT within the Expert at Hand model and manage a mixed Band 6 caseload from the Hackney Ark, a dedicated Child Development Centre.

You will work with children exhibiting physical disabilities, autism, coordination and sensory processing difficulties in home and school contexts, collaborating with schools and MDT colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with HCPC.
• Experience working with children in community/education settings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience providing mentorship to junior staff is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver OT to a caseload of children in community and school settings.
• Mentor junior occupational therapy staff and allocate work.
• Conduct assessments, set goals and use outcome measures to show change in function.
• Travel to home and school visits as needed; collaborate with schools and MDT.
