Job summary

Compass Group UK&I Defence division is hiring a Chef on a full-time contract (37.5 hours per week) to prepare and serve high-quality food for Defence clients, while delivering exceptional customer service in a market-leading catering group.

You will lead kitchen operations, oversee menu updates, manage inventories and hygiene, respond to feedback, and help develop new menus and concepts. This role offers progression within a company that values its people and celebrates individuality.

Qualifications

• Possess City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience supervising a kitchen team.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee menu changes and improvements.
• Identify opportunities to enhance food services.
• Respond to customer feedback to improve service.
• Support with new menus and creative concepts.
• Maintain hygiene and comply with regulations.
• Monitor inventories and stock levels.
