Job summary

Compass Group UK&I's ESS division is recruiting an ambitious Chef to support Defence catering on a full-time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week. You will prepare and serve high-quality meals that brighten clients' and customers' days, while upholding brand standards across secure environments in the UK.

You will oversee menu changes, supervise a kitchen team, identify opportunities to improve our services, listen to customer feedback, and contribute to new menus and creative concepts.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.
• Food Hygiene certificate.

Responsibilities

• Preparing high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve food services.
• Listening to customer feedback to improve services.
• Supporting creation of new menus and concepts.
• Representing Defence and maintaining brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
