Job summary
The Kings Arms in Berkhamsted is seeking an exceptional Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to elevate a busy, high-volume kitchen after a successful rebrand. You will lead from the front, inspire a team and deliver quality, consistent plates while maintaining margins and food safety.
Salary up to £43,000 per annum with a performance-related bonus, a share of Tronc up to £5,000, flexible shifts and extensive staff discounts, plus a structured development programme and career pathway.
Qualifications
- Head Chef/Kitchen Manager with leadership to front of house and kitchen teams.
- Experience leading busy, high-volume kitchens with quality meat focus.
- Ability to train and develop chefs and kitchen porters.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure high-quality food.
- Protect and enhance reputation for quality and service.
- Train, coach and mentor kitchen staff; manage rotas and cleaning schedules.
- Control stock, margins and waste; ensure safety and allergen compliance.
- Collaborate with management to drive business success.
