Job summary

Delaware North UK at Wembley Stadium is seeking a Lead Chef to head a kitchen section, mentor junior chefs and deliver fine dining experiences during peak events. You will drive collaboration with the team, ensuring consistency and high quality in menu offerings, with a strong focus on premium ingredients and seasonal produce.

The role requires leadership and hands-on cooking at a high pace, with flexibility for evenings and weekends to match major events and match days.

Qualifications

• No degree required.
• Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Proven experience as a Senior Chef, Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Junior Sous Chef in fine dining, luxury hospitality or premium restaurant environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a kitchen section during high-volume service.

The opportunity

Delaware North UK is hiring a casual Lead Chef to join our collaborative team at Wembley Stadium in Wembley, London. As a Lead Chef, you will be leading a kitchen section, supporting team members in food production, presentation, and event execution. Pay

The expected pay for this role is £18.90 – £23.20 / hour

What will you do?

• Drive collaboration and coordination with kitchen team members, leading a section during high-volume service
• Lead the team, providing mentorship to Junior Chefs to support development
• Craft delicious fine dining menu offerings, working with premium ingredients and utilising your understanding of flavour profiles and seasonal produce to maintain consistency and quality while adapting to meet guests’ needs
• Ensure the operation complies with current health and safety,HACCP, food hygiene, fire regulations, licensing laws, and trading standards, maintaining Delaware North’s policies and standards of excellence

More about you

• No degree required
• Minimum of Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Proven experience as a Senior Chef, Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Junior Sous Chef, working with high-quality ingredients and premium food offerings within a fine dining, luxury hospitality, or premium restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of classical and contemporary culinary techniques
• Skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, reliability, punctuality, detail-orientation, attention to detail, plating presentation, organisation, and performing under pressure

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand for duration of shift
• Comfortable handling various meat and alcohol products
• Availability to flexibly attend shifts on weekdays, evenings, and weekends for non-matchday events when required, due to events-based nature of roles
• Ability to travel and work at Wembley Stadium
