Job summary

Linear Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Chargehand Foreman on a freelance basis for a major construction scheme in Central Leeds. The role is site-based with responsibility for day-to-day running and serving as a key contact for the project team.

The ideal candidate will have site-based supervisory experience on large projects, CSCS and SSSTS/SMSTS, and a proactive approach to safety, coordination, and programme delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chargehand/Foreman or Supervisor on major construction projects.
• Confidently supervise trades and subcontractors on site.
• Good understanding of construction health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the site each day.
• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors and site operatives.
• Ensuring works are carried out safely and in line with the programme.
• Monitoring daily progress and reporting back to the Site Management team.
• Coordinating deliveries, materials and site logistics.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and site organisation.
• Supporting the Site Manager with day-to-day running of the project.
• Ensuring site rules, RAMS and health & safety procedures are followed.
• Providing hands-on supervision and leading from the front when required.
