Jewish Care in Stanmore is seeking a Care Team Leader to oversee residential and nursing teams, ensuring safe, compassionate, and person-centred care that promotes wellbeing and independence.

You will lead shifts, mentor staff, and contribute to care plan development while maintaining high standards of practice and excellent communication with residents, relatives, and professionals. This role includes evening/weekend shifts on a 4-week rota.

Qualifications

• QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is essential.
• Experience supervising care staff in a care setting.
• Experience supporting older people, including dementia and disabilities.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety and person-centred care.
• Understanding of medication administration and CQC/KLOE standards.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage challenging situations.
• Good IT skills and experience with electronic care planning systems.
• A flexible, compassionate approach to residents’ needs.

Responsabilités

• Leading and coordinating care staff during shifts to ensure high standards of care.
• Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities per care plans.
• Promoting residents’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing.
• Contributing to development and review of care plans to keep care person-centred.
• Responding promptly to alarms, incidents, emergencies and requests.
• Mentoring and motivating staff to maintain a positive team culture.
• Participating in induction, supervision, and development for staff including agency staff.
• Maintaining accurate records and effective communication with residents, relatives and professionals.
• Promoting health, safety, safeguarding and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Supporting an excellent customer experience for residents, families and visitors.
