Excelcare's Lime Court Care Home in Harwich, Essex, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead and mentor a team of Care Assistants, delivering compassionate, person-centred care to residents.

This full-time role involves night shifts 7pm–7am (36 hours weekly), reporting to the Home Manager, and supporting dementia care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance with CQC standards. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Two years’ Team Leader experience with NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care or three years without NVQ.
• Experience in a nursing or care home.
• Understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with dementia care is desirable.
• Experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system would be desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead and mentor a team of Care Assistants to deliver outstanding care.
• Report to the Home Manager and collaborate with other teams.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities while promoting independence, dignity, and respect.
• Contribute to person-centred care plans and risk assessments with regular updates.
