Job summary

Co Active Limited is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate Team Leader to support adults with learning disabilities in a residential care home on a maternity cover contract in Torquay, England. The role focuses on delivering person-centred care, leading a team, and maintaining high standards of wellbeing and independence for residents.

The successful candidate will supervise staff, participate in on-call duties, and work within a three-week rolling rota to meet service needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in adult social care, preferably with learning disabilities.
• Experience in a senior care or leadership role.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care.
• Ensure person-centred care tailored to individual needs.
• Supervise staff, provide training, and manage performance.
• Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day running.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance.
• Promote a safe, inclusive environment for residents and staff.
• Participate in a on-call rota and respond to emergencies.
