Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is recruiting an Assistant Manager to oversee the Extra Care team at Miners Court in Pool, Cornwall. The role is full-time, fixed-term, offering a salary of £30,000–£34,000 per annum.

You will manage the 24-hour Care and Support service, deputise for managers, lead a care team, conduct assessments and care plans, oversee medication management, and ensure safeguarding and QA processes are followed.

Qualifications

• A diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
• Experience managing or supervising teams within the Care and Support Sector.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and experience in completing needs assessments and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Managing the delivery of the 24-hour Care and Support service, ensuring compliance with CQC standards.
• Deputising for the registered and deputy manager in their absence, maintaining service quality and safety standards.
• Leading and supporting a team of care staff through supervision, training, and performance management.
• Conducting assessments, care planning, and reviews in collaboration with residents and external agencies.
• Overseeing medication management, including monthly audits and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ensuring all organisational policies, procedures, and legislative requirements are met.
