HEAD CHEF

Care Home with nursing is a purpose-built 77-bed care home situated in a residential area of Wednesfield, Wolverhampton. Here, we specialise in nursing care, residential care and dementia nursing care including Alzheimer's care

As the leader of the culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.

Your primary duties will include menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. You will lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and design nutritious and appealing menus that meet the dietary requirements of residents, including those with specific health conditions or preferences.
  • Ensure all meals are prepared to the highest standards, using fresh, quality ingredients.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting skill development and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor food presentation and portion control to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with care staff to address residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
