Job summary

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Lead Physiologist Cardiac Rhythm Management (Device Implants). This Band 8a role requires extensive CRM expertise, leadership, and staff development across a large cardiac diagnostics and implant service.

The post holder will lead the CRM implant service, manage and develop staff, and oversee training and CPD within the department while delivering high-quality patient care in a specialist hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified cardiac physiologist with CRM expertise
• Experience leading and developing staff
• Evidence of CPD and continued professional development

Responsibilities

• Lead the cardiac science component of the CRM implant service
• Develop and improve the CRM service
• Provide line management and supervise staff
• Lead and support training within the department
• Perform a full range of cardiac diagnostic investigations
• Demonstrate competency in CRM including implant services
• Deliver training for colleagues and trainees
• Maintain CPD of staff and service
• Demonstrate strong leadership and people-management skills
