Job summary

The Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is recruiting for a Band 7 post within the CAMHS Outpatients pathway. The role involves assessing and diagnosing young people, initiating treatment including medication as a non-medical prescriber, and running nurse-led clinics.

In addition to clinical caseload work, the post requires supervising and line managing colleagues, with a full UK driving licence and access to a car during working hours.

Qualifications

• Qualified as non-medical prescriber and registered with NMC.
• Significant autonomous working experience in a multiagency setting.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car during working hours.

Responsibilities

• Undertake mental health assessments and diagnosis of children and young people in CAMHS outpatients.
• Initiate treatment, including medication, as a non-medical prescriber.
• Hold and manage a medication caseload.
• Monitor and review medications with the wider team.
• Provide clinical supervision and line management of staff.
• Liaise with CAMHS colleagues on selected cases.
• Work alongside consultants, doctors, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists and mental health practitioners.
