Job summary

Futura Design in Coventry is seeking a Principal CAE Engineer to join on a permanent basis. You will act as the subject matter expert in CAE, leading advanced simulation methods to support vehicle development and reduce physical prototyping.

You'll work across design, powertrain, body engineering and manufacturing, guiding structural, durability, crash, NVH, and thermo-fluid analyses, while mentoring teams and shaping the CAE strategy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Aerospace engineering.
• 10+ years of CAE experience in automotive/advanced engineering.
• Proven ability to deliver simulation-led development on complete vehicle programs.
• Strong FE and structural simulation expertise.
• Experience with major CAE platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and deploy CAE strategy, methods, standards, and best practices.
• Act as the senior technical authority for simulation-led vehicle development.
• Guide analyses in structural, durability, crash, fatigue, stiffness, NVH, thermal and multi-physics.
• Drive data-based engineering recommendations and support program decisions.
• Mentor CAE engineers and lead technical activities.
