Futura Design Limited is seeking a Lead Homologation Engineer in Coventry to develop and execute regulatory strategies for niche, low-volume vehicles. You will lead cross-functional teams through development, certification planning and global market approvals, ensuring compliant design and timely execution.

The role requires extensive experience in automotive homologation, strong stakeholder management and clear communication with authorities, suppliers, and internal teams.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain vehicle homologation strategies for global markets.
• Interpret regulatory requirements for engineering and programme teams.
• Assess designs for compliance and identify gaps.
• Provide guidance during concept phase to ensure requirements are met.
• Monitor changes in global automotive legislation and assess impacts.
• Support market access decisions, certification pathways, and regulatory risk.
• Lead homologation activities across multiple vehicle programmes.
• Develop certification plans, schedules and deliverables aligned with milestones.
• Coordinate stakeholders to complete compliance activities.
• Manage homologation risks and mitigation plans.
• Prepare certification documentation and technical evidence.
• Ensure test requirements and approvals are scheduled with engineers.
• Consult with regulatory authorities and certification bodies.
• Support inspections, audits and regulatory reviews.
• Maintain homologation records and approval documentation.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Body, Powertrain, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Programme Management, and Legal teams.
