Job summary

Agilis Recruitment is partnering with a global technology organisation to hire a Lead Software Engineer specialising in C#/.NET. The role covers backend services, APIs, and event-driven systems with cloud focus on AWS, plus AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development.

You will mentor engineers, drive technical delivery, and help shape the platform roadmap across scalable software and distributed architectures. This is a hybrid position with remote options and a modern tech stack.

Qualifications

• Commercial software engineering experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience as a Senior/Lead engineer acting as a Technical Lead.
• Experience building backend services and REST APIs.
• Understanding of event-driven, asynchronous or service-based architectures.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with automated testing, source control and code reviews.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical tasks and contribute to delivery estimates.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Technical lead, mentoring other engineers and performing code reviews.
• Build and maintain production software using C# and .NET.
• Develop backend services, APIs and event-driven applications.
• Work with PostgreSQL and AWS cloud technologies.
• Contribute to microservices, integrations and distributed systems.
• Support UI development using Blazor where required.
• Write automated tests and participate in peer code reviews.
• Troubleshoot issues and support production systems.
• Translate requirements into technical tasks and contribute to delivery estimates.
• Use AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, as part of the development process.
