Job Description:

Reports to: Director of Technology

Other key relationships: Business Analysts, Dynamics 365 and Data Engineers, Application Support Analysts, Business Stakeholders

Location: Piccadilly, with occasional travel to other sites

Role Purpose

To provide in-depth functional knowledge, support, and direction for key applications within Fortnum & Mason's complex technology stack, focusing on Microsoft D365 (Finance & Operations, Retail & Commerce). The role includes providing technical guidance, collaborating with the Transformation team to align technology solutions with business strategy, and producing high-standard designs following our framework. Additionally, the role involves configuration, release, and support of applications like D365 and PowerApps.

Responsibilities

Operational

• Configure D365 F&O / Commerce to support business needs
• Design solutions and write functional design documents following best practices
• Build prototypes and demo features to teams
• Present designs at forums for sign-off
• Collaborate across technology and business teams to support systems
• Support all stages of the software development lifecycle
• Use relevant tools confidently and teach others
• Ensure monitoring and alerting are in place
• Roadmap technology to utilize appropriate tools
• Engage with stakeholders to gather and document requirements for e-commerce, POS, and call centers
• Analyze processes, identify gaps, and recommend solutions using Dynamics 365
• Guide development teams on best practices, configurations, and customizations
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting
• Identify and propose process improvements
• Use DevOps for issue tracking and testing coordination
• Support and advise other Business Systems Analysts
• Maintain stakeholder relationships and provide training

Previous Experience (including qualifications)

• Relevant experience in retail preferred
• Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365, including e-commerce, POS, and call centers
• Experience with DevOps
• Support and management of critical IT systems
• Experience with IT integrations across platforms
• Desirable: AGR Demand and Forecast Planning, Avery Berkel, BarTender, Oracle Hospitality POS
• Knowledge of Microsoft stack: SQL Server, Azure, Power Platform
