Nationwide is seeking a Lead Business Analyst in Core Banking to shape complex change at the heart of our organisation. You’ll provide expert Business Analysis leadership, work with senior stakeholders and delivery teams, and drive high-quality analysis that delivers the right business and customer outcomes.
We offer flexible working; you’ll be based at your nearest regional office with regular Swindon site attendance (approx. once per month).
As a Lead Business Analyst in Core Banking, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping complex change at the heart of Nationwide. You’ll help ensure the technology and processes underpinning our core banking services continue to meet the needs of our customers and the Society.
This is an influential leadership role where you’ll shape significant programmes of work, provide expert Business Analysis leadership and ensure high-quality analysis across your area. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and delivery teams, bringing clarity to complex problems, challenging thinking and helping teams make informed decisions that deliver the right business and customer outcomes.
Alongside leading change, you’ll lead, coach and develop a team of Business Analysts, setting high standards and creating an environment where people can grow and perform at their best. You’ll also help shape and continuously improve how Business Analysis is delivered across Core Banking, giving you the opportunity to influence both the change we deliver and the capability of our Business Analysis community.
We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. For this role, you'll be based at your nearest regional office or hub. We value time spent together to connect with colleagues for collaboration so there will be a regular requirement to attend our Swindon site approximately once per month. If you are based at an office location, you'll be expected to meet our hybrid working requirement of at least two days a week, or 40% of your working time if part-time, in the office. If you’re based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.
Nationwide is committed to the redeployment of our employees impacted by change, as such applications for redeployment candidates will be prioritised in this recruitment process. If you’re a colleague on long‑term absence (for example, on parental leave) or a temporary worker, please use your personal email address to submit an application.
