Job summary

Harmony Fire Ltd. is seeking a Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) to lead regulatory oversight on major projects in London. You will guide design teams, manage Gateway 2 submissions, and ensure compliance with the Building Regulations and Building Safety Act 2022.

This client-facing role requires hands-on leadership across HRB projects and liaison with regulators. You’ll work with pre-construction teams and engineers to deliver robust compliance strategies while growing Harmony’s

Qualifications

• Degree or MSc in a construction-related field and professional accreditation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and Building Safety Act 2022.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory guidance to design teams and clients under Building Regulations for HRB and non-HRB projects.
• Lead Gateway 2 applications, ensuring documentation and compliance evidence are complete and timely.
• Develop and manage processes to demonstrate compliance with Building Regulations as amended by 2022 Act.
• Review design information to identify compliance risks early and guide mitigating actions.
• Liaise with Building Control Bodies and regulators on behalf of clients and internal teams.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Building Regulations and related legislation.
