The Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Lead Bridge Engineer to join our Amey Consulting team in Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, with shared office space, attending when necessary, and remaining days working remotely. We welcome applications from Lead Engineers across this region.
Our Structures Team is involved in designing some of the largest civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Scotland, with values exceeding £1bn.
Amey manages the Southwest and Northeast Trunk Road Network Management contracts, awarded in 2020 and 2022 respectively, with durations of 8 years, extendable to 12. We also have a diverse portfolio of major roads, bridges, and transportation projects with Transport Scotland, Local Authorities, and contractors nationwide.
These long-term contracts offer excellent opportunities for technical, engineering, and professional development at all career stages.
The role
Our Lead Bridge Engineers are key members of the Design team, working alongside Transport Scotland. As a Lead Senior Engineer, you will support your Design Team Leader on various Civil schemes, lead projects, and mentor junior designers.
