The Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Lead Bridge Engineer to join our Amey Consulting team in Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, with shared office space and remote working options. We welcome applications from Lead Engineers across these regions.
Our Structures Team designs some of Scotland's largest civil engineering and infrastructure projects, with cumulative values exceeding £1bn.
Amey manages the Southwest and Northeast Trunk Road Network Management contracts, awarded in 2020 and 2022 respectively, with durations of 8 years, extendable to 12. In addition, we have various projects with Transport Scotland, Local Authorities, and contractors nationwide.
These long-term contracts offer excellent opportunities for professional growth and involvement in major engineering projects across Scotland’s arterial road network.
The role
Our Lead Bridge Engineers play a key role within the Design team and collaborate with Transport Scotland. As a Lead Senior Engineer, you will support your Design Team Leader on civil schemes, lead projects, and mentor junior designers.
