Plexus Resource Solutions is partnered with a high-growth fintech to hire a Lead Backend Engineer who will help build scalable payment systems, APIs, and financial infrastructure used by businesses worldwide.

You will design and maintain backend services, integrate with payment gateways, and ensure secure cross-border settlements, while collaborating with product and engineering teams on new features. Remote role with flexible hours and equity opportunity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend engineering experience.
• Strong commercial experience with TypeScript & Node.js.
• Experience building payments APIs, payment gateways, or financial systems.
• Strong understanding of API design and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build payment processing systems and integrations with payment gateways.
• Develop secure, reliable infrastructure for cross-border payments and settlement.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability across backend services.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver new features.
