Job summary

Vibe Recruit is recruiting an experienced B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for our client in St Athan, Cardiff, South Wales. The role covers base maintenance checks under Part 145, with a focus on safety, quality and timely defect rectification.

The permanent position offers shift options, a salary of £66,420.22 plus £17,000 per annum shift premium, and requires full eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years' aircraft maintenance experience.
• Ability to use recognised aircraft documentation.
• Broad skillset in aircraft systems including rigging and component replacement.
• Good structural assessment and repair knowledge.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Technicians and Mechanics in Base Maintenance checks.
• Ensure correct completion of paperwork and forms per MOE.
• Keep management informed of maintenance requirements and issues.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance documentation.
• Ensure accurate task timings and bookings on task cards.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of aircraft components.
• Maintain standard engineering practices in the hangar and prevent FOD.
• Suggest improvements to management to boost efficiency or morale.
• Perform any other duties required by the business.
