Job summary

Brio Digital is seeking an experienced Lead AWS DevOps Engineer in Leeds for a 7-month, on-site role with occasional office presence. You will lead cloud-native infrastructure, focusing on security, scalability, and observability to support healthcare delivery.

You will drive automation across Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD practices, collaborating with NHS stakeholders to ensure compliant delivery and reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in NHS/public sector or healthcare-focused projects.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and Helm in production environments.
• Strong AWS and Terraform skills for IaC implementations.
• Proficiency with observability tooling such as Grafana/Prometheus.
• Linux administration and scripting (Bash/Python).

£650/day (Inside IR35)

About the Role

We’re looking for an experiencedAWS DevOps Engineerto take a lead role in building, automating, and supporting cloud-native infrastructure within theNHS/public sector.

You’ll be key to ensuring our platforms aresecure, scalable, and observable— driving automation and reliability across systems that directly support healthcare delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and managing Kubernetes clusters (including Helm chart configuration).
• Building and automating AWS infrastructure with Terraform.
• Implementing and maintaining observability solutions using Grafana & Prometheus.
• Administering Linux systems and developing automation scripts (Bash, Python).
• Championing DevOps best practice across teams.
• Collaborating with NHS stakeholders to ensure secure and compliant delivery.

What We’re Looking For

Experience working within theNHS or wider public sector (healthcare focus preferred).

Strong hands-on expertise withKubernetes & Helm.

AdvancedAWS & Terraformskills for Infrastructure as Code.

Proven track record withobservability tooling(Grafana, Prometheus).

StrongLinux adminand scripting/automation skills.

Nice to Have

• CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Knowledge of cloud security & compliance best practices.
• Exposure to other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
