Job summary

SGS is seeking a Lead Auditor to plan and conduct management system audits for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. The role travels to client sites and uses desk-based or on-site methods to ensure high-quality assessments and accreditation compliance.

You will provide timely reports, maintain audit records, and support the enhancement of client satisfaction while staying current with industry knowledge and registrations.

Qualifications

• Lead Auditor with Certification background in ISO 9001/14001/45001.
• Experience with quality, health & safety or environmental management systems.
• Strong auditing techniques and knowledge of standards.

• Job Title: Lead Auditor - 9001, 14001 & 45001
• Job Type: Permanent
• Salary: Highly competitive
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Job Location: Field based - West Midlands
• Travel: Required as part of role to visit Client sites - Company car provided

As a Lead Auditor for SGS you’ll be responsible for planning and conducting professional management system audits to enable delivery of assessment and certification services that meet client requirements and appropriate accreditation standards

As part of the role you will conduct audits (desk-based or on client’s site) in accordance with established procedures, maintaining a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective client relationships.

Other aspects of the role include:

• Provide accurate and timely reporting to assist the planning and management of operations
• Enhance client satisfaction and ensure compliance with standards
• Undertake personal professional development and ensure appropriate training records and personal logs are updated to maintain relevant auditor registrations and relevant industry knowledge

Qualifications

The candidate will be a qualified Lead Auditor with a Certification background or a diverse industry background.

Essential

• Lead Auditor in ISO 9001 & 14001 & 45001
• NEBOSH General certificate or Level 6 Diploma
• Have held positions with responsibility of Quality, Health & Safety and/or Environmental management systems.
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge and experience of management system standards, compliance and auditing techniques.
• Have a varied breadth of industry sector experience
• Valid driving license for use in the UK
