Job summary

SGS is seeking a Lead Auditor to plan and conduct professional management system audits across ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, enabling certification services that meet client requirements and accreditation standards. The role is field-based in the West Midlands with travel to client sites and a company car provided.

You will deliver desk-based or on-site audits, provide timely reports, maintain client relationships, and stay current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
• NEBOSH G Certificate or Level 6 Diploma required.
• Experience in Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental management systems.
• Breadth of industry sector experience and strong auditing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct management system audits to support certification services.
• Perform desk-based and on-site audits at client sites per procedures.
• Provide accurate, timely reporting for planning and operations.
• Enhance client satisfaction and maintain compliance with standards.
• Update training records and maintain auditor registrations.

Job description

Job Title: Lead Auditor - 9001, 14001 & 45001

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Highly competitive

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Job Location: Field based - West Midlands

Travel: Required as part of role to visit Client sites - Company car provided

As a Lead Auditor for SGS you'll be responsible for planning and conducting professional management system audits to enable delivery of assessment and certification services that meet client requirements and appropriate accreditation standards

As part of the role you will conduct audits (desk-based or on client's site) in accordance with established procedures, maintaining a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective client relationships.

Other aspects of the role include:

• Provide accurate and timely reporting to assist the planning and management of operations
• Enhance client satisfaction and ensure compliance with standards
• Undertake personal professional development and ensure appropriate training records and personal logs are updated to maintain relevant auditor registrations and relevant industry knowledge

The candidate will be a qualified Lead Auditor with a Certification background or a diverse industry background.

Essential

• Lead Auditor in ISO 9001 & 14001 & 45001
• NEBOSH General certificate or Level 6 Diploma
• Have held positions with responsibility of Quality, Health & Safety and/or Environmental management systems.
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge and experience of management system standards, compliance and auditing techniques.
• Have a varied breadth of industry sector experience
• Valid driving license for use in the UK
