A leading bank in the UK is seeking a Lead Consultant in Compliance Assurance to oversee and ensure the effectiveness of compliance activities across the organization. The position involves managing a team, conducting vital compliance testing, and engaging with key stakeholders while adhering to regulatory requirements. Applicants should demonstrate a robust understanding of UK Financial Services regulations, team leadership skills, and experience in the UK banking environment.

The UK Risk Team is responsible for helping protect the bank's balance sheet, customers and reputation whilst supporting the business in building sustainable profitability. It has four teams, Credit Risk, Operational Risk & Financial Crime, Conduct & Compliance and Prudential Risk, with circa 240 people based in London, Bristol, Belfast & Solihull. The team has an important part to play in ensuring safe delivery of the UK and Group Risk strategic objectives.
To lead a team of Compliance Consultants ensuring that BOIUK is provided with independent, objective and reliable second line assurance activity assessing the delivery of good customer outcomes, the management of key risks and the operation of key controls. The Lead Consultant will lead consultants in the design and conduct of compliance assurance reviews and customer outcome testing based monitoring reviews to support BOIUK's compliance with Consumer Duty requirements and implementation of the Risk Management Framework.
Managing a team of Compliance Consultants to design, deliver, record and report customer outcome testing, testing of key controls and assessment of key risks supporting delivery of critical processes and adherence to regulatory requirements.
