Job summary
WSP seeks an Associate/Associate Director to provide technical leadership in bridge/civil design and assessment across the UK and overseas. You will lead design teams, mentor junior staff, and drive projects to meet quality, time and budget while developing client relationships and leading tenders.
You will supervise resources, manage fees, and foster a culture of technical review, innovation and collaboration within a diverse team.
Qualifications
- Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with relevant UK experience.
- Proven bridge design, maintenance and assessment experience.
- Experience in project management of bridge projects.
- Understanding of DMRB/MCDHW for structural schemes.
- Knowledge of Eurocodes and bridge design applications.
- Experience with steel or concrete bridges; design/assessment.
- Familiar with FE analysis tools and software packages.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to design and assessment teams.
- Lead design teams and mentor junior members.
- Drive projects to right quality, time and budget.
- Lead tenders/bids and develop client relationships.
- Oversee resources and coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs.
- Agree fees and manage project's commercial position.
- Promote technical review culture and innovation.
