Job summary

Turner Lovell, on behalf of a global power cable and transmission technology business, is recruiting an Array Cable Systems Engineer in Glasgow with hybrid working. You will provide specialist engineering support across the full project lifecycle, focusing on offshore cable system design, tendering, manufacturing, testing and delivery.

You'll work with customers, suppliers and internal teams, managing technical interfaces and risks, preparing technical proposals and documentation, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Significant experience in high-voltage cable systems engineering, ideally with offshore wind/array cable systems.
• Experience across tendering and project execution phases.
• Strong knowledge of cable ratings, thermal design, construction and accessories.

Responsibilities

• Review client requirements and tender docs for array cable projects.
• Develop compliant cable system designs for tender and project execution.
• Prepare technical proposals, reports and design documentation.
• Support customer meetings and technical negotiations.
• Manage technical interfaces and engineering risks across projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
