Job summary

La Fosse is seeking a Lead Architect to own the architecture for one of its flagship products in the education space. You will steer the strategy across a complex partner-shared technology landscape, ensuring alignment with product direction and governance.

Hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in client offices. You will mentor a Solution Architect, collaborate with Product leadership, and influence cross-organisational stakeholders to drive enterprise-wide excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven enterprise/lead architecture experience in multi-stakeholder environments.
• Strong cloud (AWS) and event-driven architecture background.
• Excellent stakeholder management and consensus building.
• Experience in education/publishing or regulated partner ecosystems is a plus.

A well-established organisation in the education space is looking for a Lead Architect to own the architecture for one of its flagship products.

What you'll do

• Own and evolve the target architecture and roadmap across a complex, partner-shared technology landscape
• Balance and align partner-owned systems with in-house systems
• Provide architectural guidance and standards across a wider architecture community, not just your direct team
• Work closely with Product leadership to ensure architecture reflects product methodology and direction
• Track emerging technology and its impact on a fast-evolving, event-driven, AWS-based estate
• Line-manage and mentor a Solution Architect

What we're looking for

• Proven Enterprise/Lead Architecture experience in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, ideally with exposure to partnership, licensing, or federated delivery models
• Strong grounding in cloud (AWS) and event-driven architecture
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills - able to build consensus across equally-weighted external partners
• Comfortable operating enterprise-wide while still credible on the technical detail
• Sector background: education, publishing, or other regulated, partner-ecosystem environments would also be a strong fit
• This could equally suit a strong Lead Solution Architect ready to step up into a broader tech leadership role

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week in the client's offices.
