Job summary

Cotswold Archaeology, based in Kemble, is seeking Project Supervisors to lead fieldwork projects and ensure high-quality archaeological recording. You will supervise teams, manage safety, and contribute to publication and outreach as part of a dynamic, award-winning team.

The role offers a starting salary of £32,977–£35,665, with probation and a strong benefits package, including training and opportunities to progress within the department.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising small to medium-sized fieldwork projects.
• Ability to author typescript fieldwork reports efficiently and accurately.
• Full manual driving licence.
• Good working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
• Administrative ability in keeping accurate records and accounts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fieldwork projects to time, budget, quality and safety requirements.
• Assist in training and developing Archaeologists and Trainees.
• Oversee site records, archives and reporting to required standards.
• Coordinate with Project Manager/Senior staff on progress and client liaison.
• Ensure fieldwork complies with CA Health and Safety policy and risk assessments.
