Job summary

SSE is seeking a Utility Arboriculture chargehand to lead tree maintenance and vegetation management around the distribution network. You will guide a team, plan cyclical cutting work, and address reactive tasks while prioritising safety and compliance.

The role requires climbing experience and NPTC certifications, with base within 30 minutes of listed depots; travel is required and a current driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in forestry/arboriculture with a focus on safety.
• Climbing experience is essential for proximity to power lines.
