Job summary

Cortech Talent Solutions Ltd is seeking a Lead Analogue Electronics Engineer in Leatherhead to design and support electronics for advanced scientific instruments. You will own boards from concept through production, manage obsolescence, and ensure regulatory readiness while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires deep analogue/mixed-signal expertise, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to work independently to align with a US-based client’s schedule.

Qualifications

• BS in electronics engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in professional electronics/hardware roles.
• Strong analogue, digital and mixed-signal design experience.
• Familiar with Altium Designer and board layout workflows.
• Experience with EOL, obsolescence planning, and sustaining engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain electronic hardware including schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout.
• Own PCB designs end-to-end from concept through bring-up, debugging and verification testing.
• Manage end-of-life activities, obsolescence, last-time-buys and board revisions.
• Support regulatory compliance testing and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate to define electrical requirements and ensure traceability from specs to verification.
• Support transition to manufacturing with DFM/DFT reviews and test fixtures.
• Create and maintain design docs, BOMs, test procedures, and DHFs.
• Suggest process/tech improvements to enhance team productivity and product quality.
