Job summary

Ki is seeking an Algorithm Engineering Manager to join the underwriting algorithm team in the UK. You will partner with the Head of Algorithm Engineering to build and guide a high-performance team, shaping the bold vision of Ki’s underwriting algorithms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to solve complex organizational and technical challenges, prioritise roadmaps, and ensure governance around model lifecycle management and deployment of ML solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building and leading an algorithm engineering team.
• Experience developing industrialised ML applications and services.
• Strong Python programming and data product management.

Responsibilities

• Act as an advocate for the vision of Ki’s Underwriting Algorithm within the team and community.
• Shape and execute the Algorithm Engineering team’s strategy and roadmap.
• Collaborate with leadership to define architecture across algo domains and interfaces.
• Position Ki to explore new algorithmic underwriting strategies and Emerging tech.
• Explain algorithm engineering capabilities to senior leadership and guide investments.
• Create governance around model lifecycle management and best practices.
