Job summary

FM Search & Select Ltd is seeking a Lead Air Conditioning Engineer to oversee the service and maintenance of commercial air conditioning systems across a mobile, client-facing workload. You will stay hands-on while taking on greater responsibility within a specialist team.

Deliver fault finding, diagnostics and high-quality repairs with strong customer communication, and manage your own workload across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• F-Gas qualification is required.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of commercial air conditioning systems.
• Planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.

Lead Air Conditioning Engineer

Location: Central Belt / Mobile

Salary: Up to £46,000 + Overtime + On-Call Allowance + Travel Time

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

FM Search & Select are recruiting for an experienced Lead Air Conditioning Engineer to join a growing specialist Air Conditioning business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AC Service Engineer looking to take the next step in their career, or an existing Lead Engineer looking to join a specialist business with genuine opportunities for progression.

You’ll form part of an experienced technical team, focusing solely on Air Conditioning service and maintenance. This is not a general FM role - there are no fabric, plumbing or other FM maintenance tasks. Air Conditioning is the core focus of the business.

The Role

• Service and maintenance of commercial Air Conditioning systems
• Planned and reactive maintenance
• Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
• Identifying remedial works and technical issues
• Providing technical support where required
• Working alongside and supporting an experienced engineering team
• Managing your own workload across mobile sites
• Maintaining strong relationships with customers
• Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high technical standard

What We're Looking For

• Experienced Air Conditioning Service Engineer
• Strong commercial service and maintenance background
• F-Gas qualification
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Comfortable taking additional responsibility within the engineering team
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
