The Lead AI Software Engineer will shape technical direction, drive end-to-end delivery, and mentor engineers across AI and full-stack domains, leveraging AWS, Node.js, TypeScript, and React. Remote-first across the UK.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building and operating AI systems in production.
• Demonstrated technical leadership shaping team direction and architecture.
• Strong hands-on AI/LLM skills with production know-how.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for your squad and own architectural decisions.
• Drive adoption of AI coding tools across the full SDLC, from planning to deployment.
• Deliver production-grade code across stack: Node.js/Python, AWS, React as needed.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices in AI and full-stack development.
• Collaborate with platform teams to reuse capabilities and avoid one-off solutions.
• Ensure all ships are compliant-by-design, auditable, and FCA-regulated ready.
