Job summary

Scale AI is seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Manager to bridge AI research and production, guiding a team that delivers scalable, high-performance enterprise solutions. You will shape the infrastructure strategy for interactive AI applications and platform capabilities while ensuring security and reliability at scale.

You will work closely with product, security, and engineering leadership to align on goals, mentor engineers, and drive improvements from prototyping to production-ready

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure or platform engineering
• 2+ years managing infra/ platform teams
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI
• Kubernetes deployments on on-prem infrastructure
• CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code experience
• Production environments with high availability requirements
• Monitoring, alerting and incident response familiarity
• Experience with modern developer platforms and internal tooling

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the infrastructure roadmap aligned with business and engineering priorities
• Lead design and implementation of scalable, secure, reliable infrastructure
• Set and maintain SLAs/SLOs for platform uptime and developer experience
• Manage the engineering team and drive technical delivery
• Design, build, and optimize backend services for AI-driven applications
• Influence culture, values, and processes of the team
• Inspire and mentor engineers
• Collaborate with product, security, and engineering leadership to align goals
