Vanguard Group is hiring a Global Investment & Finance Systems Lead Forward Deployed Engineer in the GIFS UK team. You will partner with investment professionals and researchers to rapidly explore analytical challenges, architect and deliver high-value solutions, and set engineering direction across distributed teams.

The role requires hands-on delivery, strong software and data engineering expertise, and a track record of producing production-ready models and tools for investment workflows.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant software, data, or analytics engineering experience.
• Experience leading technical workstreams and delivering production-quality solutions.
• Experience in investment management, quantitative research, or related front-office analytics.
• Financial services experience and cloud-based data or AI platforms preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Partner across UK Investment Management Group to shape high-value opportunities.
• Translate investment challenges into actionable technical opportunities using AI, ML, optimization.
• Architect, build, and validate solutions from rapid experiments through MVP to production.
• Lead productionalisation of research code, models, tools, and data pipelines.
• Establish scalable patterns for AI-enabled solutions with reusable components and controls.
• Provide senior technical direction and mentor engineers across teams.
• Translate engagements into reusable code, evaluation methods, and engineering patterns.
