Job summary

Williams Racing is seeking an Aerodynamics Project Leader to work with Principal Aerodynamicists, taking technical lead of a team of engineers. You will own aerodynamic development projects from concept to track validation, balancing CFD, wind tunnel time, and manufacturing lead times within FIA regulations and the cost cap.

You will empower engineers, set project direction, and ensure high-quality, track-ready aero solutions while fostering continuous improvement across tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Multiple years' experience in F1 aerodynamic development.
• Experience leading projects through the full aero development lifecycle.
• Experience planning and running wind tunnel programmes, and interpreting CFD, tunnel and track correlation.
• Strong working understanding of cost cap framework (ATR).

Responsibilities

• Lead concept generation and direct CFD exploration with evidence-based decisions.
• Plan and run test sessions in wind tunnel; analyse and adjust based on data.
• Hands-on CAD work to develop and refine aerodynamic surfaces as needed.
• Drive projects through release, coordinating with Design Office, Structures, and Manufacturing.
• Coach and empower engineers; lead post-project reviews to capture learnings.
