Job summary

Aerodynamics Engineer – Advanced Aerospace Technology in Bath is a full-time, early-stage opportunity with equity. You’ll join a small, highly technical team shaping aircraft performance from first principles using CFD and simulation, validating work against prototypes and test data.

The role moves between theory, simulation and practical engineering, driving aerodynamic direction for future aircraft designs and collaborating across the wider system. Equity is available to share in the success.

Qualifications

• Aerodynamics, aerospace engineering background or closely related discipline.
• Experience with CFD and simulation.
• Strong problem-solving and judgement.

Responsibilities

• Perform aerodynamic analysis and performance modelling.
• Lead CFD-led design and optimisation.
• Develop propeller/rotor aerodynamic development.
• Assess lift, drag, stability and performance trade-offs.
• Correlate simulation with experimental data or test results.
• Support rapid design iterations and prototype development.
• Collaborate with wider aircraft system engineers.
