Job summary

NHS Forth Valley seeks a Specialist Doctor in Acute Oncology to lead the development of an Acute Oncology Service at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. The role focuses on education, collaboration and advancing new therapeutics and toxicities with a view to reducing hospital admissions.

The post requires broad Acute Oncology experience, GMC registration, and a minimum of 10 years post-registration. Fixed-term appointment with a pro rata salary.

Qualifications

• Broad experience in Acute Oncology.
• Minimum of 10 years post-registration experience, at least six in Oncology.
• GMC registration and licence to practise are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Acute Oncology Service within Forth Valley Hospital.
• Educate and collaborate with Primary and Secondary care teams.
• Support Diagnostics and early interventions to reduce admissions and length of stay.
• Provide training and supervision to Nursing and Allied Health professionals.
• Engage in Clinical Audit and Service Development.
