Job summary

Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking a senior clinical leader to develop and operationalise an ACP-led haematology service with a focus on haemoglobinopathies, across two sites. The post holder will practise with high autonomy, supported by a Consultant Haematologist team and a multidisciplinary workforce.

Key duties include clinical leadership, non-medical prescribing, and expert management for haemoglobinopathy patients, with direct line management responsibility for part of the CNS team

Qualifications

• MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent NHSE-recognised credential.
• V300 non-medical prescribing qualification.
• Portfolio evidencing advanced capabilities in haematology or related acute medical specialty.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an ACP-led haematology service with primary focus on haemoglobinopathies.
• Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and non-medical prescribing across haemoglobinopathies and wider haematology.
• Hold direct line management for part of the haemoglobinopathies CNS team; drive service improvement, governance, audit and education.
• Lead workforce development and contribute to education across sites.
• Ensure professional accountability in line with Head of Nursing for Cancer and Haematology and Clinical Directors.
