Job summary

Purosearch Ltd. is seeking an experienced Care Home Manager to lead a beautiful residential home in Stockport, Greater Manchester. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care and strong team leadership.

The role requires proven track record in care home management, solid knowledge of CQC standards and a passion for service improvement. The position offers a competitive salary of £55,000–£60,000 per annum and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a residential care home or care home service.
• Strong leadership, communication and team-management skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Sound understanding of CQC compliance, quality assurance and care regulations.
• Experience managing audits, care standards and service improvements.
• Ability to manage challenges confidently while maintaining high standards.
• Genuine commitment to delivering outstanding, person-centred care.
• Qualified at Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or equivalent.
• Ability to meet CQC Registered Manager requirements, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the care home and ensure safe, person-centred care.
• Provide strong leadership and direction to the care team and promote a positive culture.
• Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements and relevant legislation.
• Oversee quality assurance, audits, care plans, risk assessments and care standards.
• Use troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve operational issues and implement solutions.
• Manage recruitment, staffing, rotas, training, supervision and staff performance.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for service development and continuous improvement.
• Promote residents' dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.
