Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd. is seeking a skilled LCV technician in Barking to join a dedicated team. The role focuses on light commercial vehicles and cars, with emphasis on quality workmanship and professional development.

The successful candidate will perform repairs, diagnostics, and servicing, including clutch and timing belt replacements, in a busy workshop and contribute to a positive workplace culture. Training and career progression are supported.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Proven experience working on vans and cars in a busy workshop.
• Full UK manual driving licence with minimal points.
• Good knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics and repair procedures.
• Proactive approach with keen attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive vehicle repairs and servicing on light commercial vehicles and cars.
• Conduct clutch replacements, timing belt replacements, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose faults efficiently using diagnostic tools.
• Road test vehicles post-repair to ensure quality standards.
• Complete accurate service documentation and repair reports.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
