Job summary

We are seeking a Van Technician to join our established commercial vehicle operation in Hull, East Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Van Technician to develop a long-term career with a respected commercial vehicle specialist.

• Basic salary up to £40,973, rising to £44,387 with one in two Saturday mornings.
• Two-week rota with early and late shifts.

Duties:

• Inspect and repair commercial vehicles to DVSA standards.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and present them for test.
• Carry out general mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
• Provide excellent customer service and help keep customers’ vehicles on the road.

The Van Technician will work a two-week rota:

• Week one: 06:00–15:30, Monday to Friday.
• Week two: 13:00–22:30, Monday to Friday.
• Alternate Saturdays: 07:00–12:00, paid as overtime.

Requirements:

• Level 3 vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent practical skill level.
• Experience as a Van Technician or Car Technician.
• Individuals with dealership experience are preferred, although Car Technicians with van experience are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work to a consistently high standard.
• Strong teamworking skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Willingness to develop technical knowledge and skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Own tools.
• Full UK driving licence.
