Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced LCV Technician for a role in Glasgow. You will service and maintain vehicles, diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults, and carry out MOT testing if qualified, working Monday to Friday with Saturdays on a rota.

Candidates should hold a full UK driving license and relevant NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent). An MOT license would be beneficial but is not essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license is required.
• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering Level 3 or equivalent.
• MOT license would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, including warranty work within brand parameters.
• MOT testing duties where qualified.

Skills

Full UK driving license

Education

NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds L3 or equivalent

Level 2 with main dealership experience

LCV Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

LCV Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering level 3 (or equivalent). We will also consider a level 2 if you have main dealership experience
• MOT license would be beneficial but not essential
