Job summary

Eastern Western Motor Group is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team in the UK. You will perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on engines, transmissions and electrical systems, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Duties include diagnostics, inspections with diagnostic tools, parts management, accurate job cards and Vehicle Health Check reporting, plus maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in routine maintenance and complex engine/electrical repairs.
• Ability to perform diagnostic inspections using diagnostic tools.
• Experience with parts ordering, fitting and replacement.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks and complex repairs on engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Conduct vehicle inspections, use diagnostic tools to identify issues, and collaborate with colleagues.
• Recommend, order, receive, and install replacement parts.
• Accurately complete job cards, document services, parts used, and submit Vehicle Health Check (VHC) reports.
• Adhere to quality control standards, ensure repairs are reliable and safe, meet productivity targets, and promote health and safety.

• Routine & Complex Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., oil changes, tyre rotations) and complex repairs on engines, transmissions, and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, use diagnostic tools to identify issues, and collaborate with colleagues to avoid unresolved faults.
• Parts Management: Recommend, order, receive, and install appropriate replacement parts, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
• Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete job cards, document all services, repairs, parts used, and submit Vehicle Health Check (VHC) reports.
• Quality & Safety Standards: Adhere to quality control standards, ensure repairs are reliable and safe, meet efficiency and productivity targets, and maintain a focus on health and safety for yourself and others.
