Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking an energetic Lay Chaplain to lead and enrich the Catholic life across nine Catholic primary schools in the Glossop/ Buxton area. Reporting to the headteachers, you will help create vibrant faith communities where students, staff and families flourish spiritually through prayer, worship and faith formation.

You will work across campuses, coordinate liturgies and pastoral support, and work with staff to embed Catholic values into daily school life.

Qualifications

Must be a practising Catholic.
Strong understanding of Catholic teaching, liturgy, and traditions.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to inspire children, staff and families.
Experience with schools or youth ministry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Leading prayer, worship, liturgies, and other faith-based activities.
Providing pastoral care and spiritual guidance.
Supporting and enhancing the Religious Education curriculum.
Working closely with headteachers to develop the Catholic Life and mission of each school.
Organising liturgical celebrations and spiritual events.
