Job description

Lawyer / Senior Paralegal – Investment Banking

• Location: London, UK (2-3 days a week)
• Contract Duration: Initial 6 months

This role involves working on a contract basis for a large Investment Bank within their Structured Securities team. The team handles high volumes of Securities Issuance Documentation for stocks and bonds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft securities issuance documentation across asset classes
• Maintain meticulous records and follow defined processes
• Advise the business on structured securities issuances, legal structuring, and distribution activities
• Procure and analyze cross-border legal advice from external law firms to support business teams
• Liaise with external counsel and manage external firms throughout the project or transaction lifecycle
• Collaborate with team members to manage workload

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified English lawyer (or equivalent jurisdiction) with at least 1 year of experience in investment banking or global markets, gained in-house or at a law firm
• Outgoing, robust personality capable of working autonomously and collaboratively
• Effective communicator (written and oral)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
• High level of organization, planning, numeracy, attention to detail, logical thinking, and teamwork
• Knowledge of structured securities and repackaging transactions is preferred
